Spring 25 - School of Science & Art

A high school located at Drew University, Madison, NJ, for art and science, is designed to ignite collaboration among students, with staggered collaboration spaces between classrooms. Studies show that students learn better when they learn together as a group, sharing ideas and learning from each other and their mistakes. The facades feature strict rectangular windows signifying classrooms and curvy, organic windows signifying collaboration spaces. The windows of the collaboration spaces show the minds of students and teens as moldable, able to learn in their own style, not having to fit into a strict box. The classrooms are simple and rectangular, as students are taught in a strict, specific way.
